Arthritis Fundraiser last Weekend

Last Weekend in Kingston I attend an Arthritis fundraiser.  There was a lot of ladies there and one gentelman.  We had lunch provided and we made some great make and takes.  Here's a picture of the room .  That pile of scrapbooking supplies is all Lisa's.  You never know what you'll need so you bring as much as you can physically lug.
Look at all the ladies busy at work.  It was a great day.
Here's a card I made that day.  It was quite a hit with the ladies.  I did see it on you tube once and thougth I'd like a go at making it.  I think it turned out Okay.
Another card I made that day.  I love purple as you can see.  Two cards and their both purple.  My bedroom as a little girl was ...wait for it.....PURPLE...you got it!
This is the First Halloween make and take card.  All the supplies were provided for us.  I just love Halloween.  I can't wait for our Family Run Spook Walk.  This will be our second year doing it.  All proceeds goes towards CAPS an animal shelter.  We're big animal lovers here.
Second Make and Take was the Easter Blossoms card.  I just love this stamp set.
The Third Make and Take was the Chickie Card.  The colors are great and I love the little chick in the egg.
Fourth Make and Take was the brown and yellow "Thinking of You" card.  The flower was made with tissue paper.  You crumple it up, attach it with a brad and then glue a centre button on it.
This is the card that I had Laura's guests made at her Party on the 24th.  It's it beautiful.
Call, email or facebook me if you want to learn how to make these great cards or to learn how to incorporate them into a scrapbook page.

The Party was a Success

I had my first Stampin Up! party lastnight at my sister Laura's house.  There weren't many people there as the flu hit the Middleton area.  However, some ladies met with me today at Laura's house and placed orders.  I'm also waiting on one more order to come in over the weekend.  Her sales were great even with just a few people.

I was so happy for Laura as she was able to receive a great hostess gift, a sale-a-bration stamp set free and $50.00 worth of free stampin up supplies.  I'd say it was a success.

Thanks Laura for hosting the party.  Let's do it again when the new 2011-2012 Idea Book and Catalogue comes out in July.

Call or email me if you would like to host a party.

Waiting for My Order to Arrive

Here I sit waiting patiently for my first Stampin Up! order to arrive.  My first home party was very successful.  I had over $700 in sales which allowed me to to receive many free stamp sets and $90.00 worth of free products on top of that.  I'll post the items when they arrive.

I can't wait to get started with new projects.  One of the items I am very excited to start using is the Big Shot.  It's a fantastic product and it's been on my wish list for a while now and today I'll get to use it. Yahhhhhhh.    I'm working on a scrapbook for my mother's 60th birthday this saturday and the Big Shot will come in very handy.

Just checked the yard......package still hasn't arrived....sigh.....

A New Beginning

Well, I've decided to sign up with Stampin Up! I have always loved their products. My friend Lisa has been a demonstrator for many years and creates some of the most amazing cards and stamping crafts. I've always been in awe at what she has made over the years. I've been scrapbooking for years now and have just recently introduced rubber stamps. There's lots for me to learn and I'm anxious to begin. Lisa has mentioned to be about selling Stampin Up! products in the past but I was working full time as a Director of Recreation at a local nursing home. So after hosting a Stampin Up! party last week Lisa was talking with me about selling Stampin Up! She gave me the sales pitch with all the perks and incentives and I decided to take the plunge.

I am excited to begin selling these products. I think I'm more excited to have the opportunity to learn more techniques and to develope my creativity. So bare with me as I try new cards, products and color combinations. My cards may not be the best cards out there but always know that I'm having fun trying.
