My blog is under construction. I'm adding a Paypal option as I've been getting demands for my cards I think this will be the easiest way for payment. This way I don't have to deal with credit cards or cheques. With Paypal you can securely add you financial information (I'll never see it) and order your cards.

Please email me if you see a card you like and I'll make it right away. Shipping will be determined on the amount of cards you purchase.

My friend Lisa showed me how to make a Squash Fold card the other day.  So I made one today.  I used the "Beautiful Season" stamp set.  This is a really easy card to make.  Contact me if you's like to make one.

More Christmas Gift Tags

Here are a few more tags I played around with today.  The first one is "Beautiful Season" stamp set with sentiment inside.  Second gift tag is the again the "Snow Much Fun" set.  I just love that snowman.  Third is the same set "Snow Much Fun".  I had to use the stocking because I thought they were feeling a little left out.  And forth is all of them together.
.

Christmas Gift Tags

I've decided to make my own gift tags this year.  Their simple and easy to make.  I used the Delicate Doilies, Pennant Parade and Snow Much Fun stamp sets.

Beautiful Season

This card was made from the "Beautiful Season's" stamp set found on page 45.
I just love the Chick-a-dee.

Snow Much Fun

This card's design is by Carol Gilmore.  When I first saw it I fell in love with it and now that I've made one myself I love it even more.  I changed a few design elements of the card but the idea is basically the same.

The stamp set is called "Snow Much Fun" and is found on page 35 of the 2011-2012 Idea Book and Catalogue.  If you want the instruction please contact me.  I'd love to share.

Bird House Card

I made this card today.  I saw a version of it on the SU website.

*All page numbers correspond to the new 2011-2012 Idea Book and Catalogue

It used the Bird Builder punch (pg 213). I don't have that punch but I do have the Blossom Petal Builder (pg 213) so I added it to the card.  I embossed the petals of the flower using the Big Shot (pg 215) and used the mini poko dot Texturz Plates (219).  I also added the stamp set Element of Style (pg 134) for the inside of the card and the bird on the front comes from Nature Walk (pg 100).  I used various inks including Real Red, Marina Mist, and Early Espresso (pg 178-180).  Card stock was Real Red and Soft Suede and Crumb Cake (pg 179-180). I also added an Antique Brad  to the centre of the flower (pg 198).  The red on the bird house I ran over it with a Standard Wheel (pg 235) but that one is no longer in the book.  You could use any one you wanted just to add a little texture.

And that's my card.  I hope you like it and make your own version of it.  If you email me your card I'll post it on my blog. tammym28@hotmail.com

The Open Sea

Tonight at the Workshop I demonstrated how to make this Father's Day card.  I used The Open Sea stamp set from Stampin Up!  I also used Crumb Cake card stock and the Designer Series Paper Nautical Expedition.  I just love this paper.  I stamped all over the paper with the Open Sea stamp set and brushed the edges of the paper.  I don't like white edges on my paper.  I also used the stamp set Notably Ornate and stamped it in almost navy ink.  I also added a vintage brad in the bottom right hand corner.
Hope you like it.

Pretty Postage Stamp Set

Here's the Pretty Postage stamp set from Stampin Up!  I played around with colour today and I think I like the red one the best.  What do you think?

I used Cherry Cobbler ink on Whisper White card stock and designer printed paper.  I also ran the white card stock through the Big Shot to create the poke-a-dots.  I used the Designer Series Regal Collection paper (strips) mounted on red Card Stock.  I also had to add a little bling so I went with the rhinestones.

I used Crumb Cake card stock and purple Designer Paper Regal Collection and backed it with Perfect Plum card stock.  I used Perfect Plum ink to stamp the image (Pretty Postage).  I also used the corresponding postage stamp punch to punch the image out.  And a few pearls for a little bling.

P.S -Don't forget the party tomorrow night June 7th at 790 Parker Mtn Road at 6pm.

Stampin It Up! With Mrs. T: Crop for Cancer Fundraiser

Stampin It Up! With Mrs. T: Crop for Cancer Fundraiser: "I attended the Crop for the Cure fundraiser on Saturday. My friend Lisa came with me. We had a great time and got lots of scrapb..."

Crop for Cancer Fundraiser

I attended the Crop for the Cancer Fundraiser on Saturday.  My friend Lisa came with me.  We had a great time and got lots of scrapbooking pages done which is very unusual for us. We tend to get a little distracted at these events.  However, we were very focused on getting our pages completed that day.

It was a little iffy if we were going to get there at all though.  On our way to New Minus I noticed there was a  noise coming from the back of the car.  I thought it was my muffler combined with the containers full of markers and brads and buttons that was making all the noise.  Well the noise got louder and louder so I pulled over I checked to make sure we didn't have a flat tire.  I walk around the car and no flat tire.  Get back in the car and continue on.  The noise is a little louder (if that was at all possible) so we pull over and proceed to call our husband for advice on what it could be.  So Lisa's on the phone with her husband and I'm on the phone with David and they each give their suggestions as to what it could be.  They say it could be the brakes, or muffler or the air filter.

So Lisa and I decide to drive a little further as were between Berwich and Coldbrook.  I'm driving the car about 100km/h and now the back end of the car begins to wobble and shake.  I announce I'm pulling over now and not going any further.  Lisa and I sit on the side of the highway until Dave comes with his tools.  He jacks the car up and then proceeds so grumble and growl at us for having almost killed ourselves because the tire was about to fall off the car.  He could actually shake the tire back and forth to the point that I'm surprised it was still on the car.  So when Lisa and I see how serious our situation could have been we proceed to laugh hysterically which makes Dave even more angry.  He say "I'm glad you can laugh at this.  You could have killed your selves".  So we laugh even more.  I took pictures of the Dave changing my tire.

This is Dave taking the tire off.  You can't see  it but he's not happy at all.

This is Dave showing us how much damage I did to the rim.  This is just about the time when he started growling at us for laughing.  He really couldn't see the humour in any of this.

So after Dave fixed the tire I insisted on taking Dave's truck the rest of the way.  He wanted me to take my car.  He said I'd be okay taking my car I'd just have to stop every 20km to tighten the nuts on the tire.  Ohhh no......I wasn't doing any of that so I took his truck.  Ha Ha.

We got to the crop and received these lovely gift bags from the Canadian Cancer Society.  There was loads of snacks throughout the day and beautiful prizes.  It really was a lovely day.  I did a workshop and made the Bunny Cards with the Ladies.  I think they liked it.

Here's the pages I finished Saturday.

Thanks Ladies

Thanks to all the ladies who came out to my Workshop tonight.  I always have a great time with you.  I'm glad you liked the Easter Bunny card we made.  Now I'll have to come up with a fabulous Mother's Day card for next month.

Here's my daughter Emily with the animals she made tonight at the workshop.  She made a bird, owl and a bunny rabbit.  (Punches used  were Two-step Owl Extra-Large , Two Step Bird Extra-Large and the Bunny was made from the Ornament punch, Oval Extra Large, Oval Large and the Owl punch)

Would anyone like to host the Mother's Day party at their house?  You will get all the hostess benefits from that party.  Also we'll be using the new Summer Mini Catalogue with all new stamp sets and scrapbooking ideas.

More Easter Goodness

I was playing around in my craft room today and thought I'd make another Easter card.  I went back to my favorite stamp set Easter Blossoms.  I just love this stamp set.  There's so many ways you can make cards with this $22.95 set.  I think you definitely get your moneys worth with this one.

So here's the first one I made today.
Easter Blossoms

This is my second attempt at the Easter Blossoms card today.  I saw a card on Stampin Connections yesterday and the card was made with some very unconventional spring colours.  I believe they were orange and black.  So I thought why couldn't I try making an Easter card using black and raspberry.  So here is my second attempt.  This time I thought I'd try sponging the sky with a little Almost Navy ink and using the torn edge technique.

Easter Cards and Easter Service

Easter is coming! Easter is coming.  I LOVE EASTER.  I love the candy jelly beans, the pastel chewy ju jubes in the shape of chickens, the chocolate foil wrapped Easter eggs that we always hid around the house once the kids have going to bed and the solid chocolate Easter bunnies.  Who can forget the solid chocolate Easter bunnies!
Easter is also a time to recognize and pay respect for the crucifixion of the Saviour and the price he paid for each and everyone of us.  This Easter let's take a moment and put the chocolate down and pay our respects by saying a blessing on our Easter Feast, attend an Easter church service or read Matt 27 and 28.

In the mean time I have started making my Easter Cards.  Here are a couple of cards I made this week.  I hope you like them.
I used the Friends 24-7 stamp set for this card found on page 138 of the 2010-2011 Idea Book and Catalogue to create the flower, bird and the sentiment.  The lines in the background of the card in green I used the Elements of Style on page 133.  I stamped it in Old Olive ink. The border was used with the Big Shot and the Tulip embossing folder found in the Occasions Mini on page 28.
I just love birds but do you think I can remember to fill my bird feeders?  Hummmmm

This Easter Card was made with Whisper White paper, Pretty in Pink and the Patterns Designer Series Paper Stack.  Punches used were the XL Scallop Oval and the 1 3/4" x 7/8" Oval Large punch to make the sentiment.  I used the Nature Walk stamp set found on page 27 of the Occasions Mini Catalogue.  I just love this stamp set and have used it many times.  There's just so many things you can do with it.  I also used the Tulip embossing folder found on page 28 of the Occasions Mini Catalogue as well.

Arthritis Fundraiser last Weekend

Last Weekend in Kingston I attend an Arthritis fundraiser.  There was a lot of ladies there and one gentelman.  We had lunch provided and we made some great make and takes.  Here's a picture of the room .  That pile of scrapbooking supplies is all Lisa's.  You never know what you'll need so you bring as much as you can physically lug.
Look at all the ladies busy at work.  It was a great day.
Here's a card I made that day.  It was quite a hit with the ladies.  I did see it on you tube once and thougth I'd like a go at making it.  I think it turned out Okay.
Another card I made that day.  I love purple as you can see.  Two cards and their both purple.  My bedroom as a little girl was ...wait for it.....PURPLE...you got it!
This is the First Halloween make and take card.  All the supplies were provided for us.  I just love Halloween.  I can't wait for our Family Run Spook Walk.  This will be our second year doing it.  All proceeds goes towards CAPS an animal shelter.  We're big animal lovers here.
Second Make and Take was the Easter Blossoms card.  I just love this stamp set.
The Third Make and Take was the Chickie Card.  The colors are great and I love the little chick in the egg.
Fourth Make and Take was the brown and yellow "Thinking of You" card.  The flower was made with tissue paper.  You crumple it up, attach it with a brad and then glue a centre button on it.
This is the card that I had Laura's guests made at her Party on the 24th.  It's it beautiful.
Call, email or facebook me if you want to learn how to make these great cards or to learn how to incorporate them into a scrapbook page.
